From firefighting to utility work, construction to frost control, Helimax Aviation, Inc. offers a wide variety of services to meet your needs. Our fleet of helicopters can handle the toughest jobs and the most inaccessible locations.
UTILITY POLE SETTING
HAI has extensive experience in setting wood and steel utility poles. Whether installing new powerlines or replacing poles between existing lines, we have the expertise and experience for the job.
HAI has provided and held contracts for “frost protection” in a variety of crops. In addition to this service, we also utilize aircraft for drying crops such as cherries, tomatoes and grapes, after a rain.
HVAC/Chiller units can be set at a fraction of the time compared to a crane. Contact Helimax Aviation, Inc. for pricing and details about your project.
Setting steel is one of the more specialized areas that requires the highest level of precision and experience. HAI has gained this experience over the years, constructing communication towers, ski lift towers, and setting structural steel.
HAI has the capability and equipment to pull wire/sockline with a side puller or counterweight, in order to work in between existing power lines.
Each year HAI moves hundreds of yards of concrete. Whether you’re repairing a flume or pouring into an elevated form, we have the experience to meet your requirements. Our concrete buckets are specially designed for helicopter use and have various capacities.
ROCK/DIRT - SHORELINE REHABILITATION
HAI has designed and developed a system to move large volumes of dirt or rock in a fast and efficient way. Our custom buckets haul one yard at a time and are easily loaded by a loader and dumped by helicopter.
SEEDING & FERTILIZING
HAI has experience in both fertilizing and seeding and has worked with state agencies in algae control in lakes and reservoirs, as well as reseeding after forest fires.
HAI is committed to the firefighting effort with United States Forest Service, CALFIRE, Oregon Department of Forestry and Washington State DWR. We offer a variety of aircraft/support equipment.
HIGH ALTITUDE WORK
Over the years, HAI has been involved with numerous projects at altitudes ranging from 9000 – 12,000 feet during the summer months. HAI pilots have the experience and knowledge to work in mountainous terrain at high altitudes. During the winter, aircraft are utilized for snow surveys.
